_39965076_cults203You are strong, capable, responsible, and determined. As you expand your horizons through higher learning, you will be faced with some hard choices. This is a clarion call to make a right one. You have the choice to follow the cults and gangs around you, or a chance to seek the truth. When you join a cult or a gang, you become a soldier of evil. By joining these groups, you say that you stand for hate, fear, destruction, and betrayal. We are asking you to choose a better path; to become a humane person by being intone with nature. By devoting yourself to being a peaceable and quality youth/students shows that you stand for hope, peace, justice, and truth.

“Community Leadership Initiative (CLI)” (an organization formed to help create awareness, prevent, intervene in cultism/gansterism and rehabilitate those that have forsaking it on Nigerian campuses) revealed the number of students (Supposed graduate) killed or maimed as a result of cult related violence are given below:
Students Killed between June 1985 –June 1996          are       77

Students Killed between July 1996 – July 2007             are      1743

Students Maimed between June 1985—June 1996       are     141

Students Maimed between July 1996 –July 2007          are     6733

Those inside these cults not only have to fear the loss of their lives to rival groups or same cult during mutiny, the risk of been permanently maimed or deformed for life, they are branded like Cain in the Holy bible whose forehead was marked for murdering his brother, Their heart is always open to spiritual attack from satanic forces, the risk of disease greatly increases with the choices and activities that these cults and gangs participate in. Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), Hepatitis B and C, and a host of other blood borne diseases as well as infections ranging from skin ulcers and localized abscesses to stroke, Botulism, Tetanus, destruction of lung tissue, and infection of the heart valves can be transmitted through sharing unsterilized syringes and needles for drug use. The use of cutting and involving blood in initiation ceremonies bring with it the same risk of spreading these diseases. The sexual promiscuity and immorality of the gangs/cults also brings with it its own set of fatal diseases. HIV and AIDS are still dominant, followed by Syphilis, Chlamydia, Trichomoniasis, Gonorrhea, and Genital Herpes. These diseases are very real, very dangerous, and very deadly.

No matter what someone has done within these cults/gangs, there is still hope of redemption. Through physical and spiritual cleansing, we are free from this shackle ravaging our youths. This is what this clarion call is asking. That you stand up and take your place as a child of peace and not a child of affliction to humanity

Becoming a humane person sets you on the path of emancipation from cults/gangs, and it requires wisdom and action. We, however, want you to be part of something bigger than any cult or gang. You are more valuable to your parents, your teachers, and us than the price that is being paid when you let a cult or gang take over your life.

In closing, this clarion call is going out to you, the students and youth of Nigeria and the world.  You are presented with a choice today and we pray that you will make the right one.  Your life is sacred and must be kept pure.  Head this call by saying a defiant – NO to cults and gangs. God Bless as you heed this clarion call for peace and share the message with others.

This is a serious issue, but most times its being swept under the carpet. Youths these days want 'protection' and they end up in the wrong hands; cults. most boys that fall into this thing are devoid of a father figure in most cases. and by father figure, i dont mean just presence, but leadership in the home. but the problem now lie in getting ou, when so much attrocities have been commited. Anyone wishin to pull out should first discover God and belive in him to take them out. Because, if you're running away from something, you definitely is moving to something..so, if you wanna leave cultism, come to Christ.

Cultism should be discouraged.  If you see these guys/ladies in action or you witness a fight between rival cults which I call 'Clash of the Titans' then, you will know that cultism is diabolical.  The way out: In as much as you stop attending their meetings and stop paying their dues, there is the need for  you to stop attending that school and leave no trace of where you are going.  Remember, to keep a low profile in your new place. Also, inform family and loved ones about it because if they cannot find you, they may come for them to hurt you.  Spiritually, you need Jesus to purge you of the oath you took with the devil while you were still a member because He alone can deliver you and give you peace in your soul.

One guy called and complained about the pyrates and how they are becoming "ills" themselves. Well, my own take on that is wherever that is happening, there is a Steerer and when the Steerer is unable to control his "dogs" then he is no longer capable to lead and he is "mutineed", simple as that.Pyrates are not usually involved in violence and hence, confrontation is the LAST option of the 7 rules that guide us. When you try out other options that dont work then you opt for "self defence". I call it self defence because that's what it is. No pyrate will go about looking for trouble, if anyone does he'll be seriously disciplined by the excos. Even when your grades drop, it is frowned at.
It pained because I couldnt call to contribute and I wish you can relate this to others who have the wrong perception about pyrates. Ask any fresh university undergraduate about pyrates and he wont know, because they are not known for violence and because they r not cults, simply a confraternity. No form of blood oath involved.Yes, physical toture is involved and this is because to fight opression, you must know what it feels like to be opressed and there has never been a case of loss of life during the process.
The way put of this is registration and identification by the school authorities so that everyone'll know who is responsible for anything that goes wrong, I dont know why the government have been avoiding this part. It pains me when I hear female students being molested, students being "obtained" and the likes and that's what we are against. That's why we are the peacemakers on campus. You'll never find a pyrate involved in any physical battle on campus because "the brain is more powerful than the fist" and that brain is what is respected.
    That's my take

Finding your way out of CULTISM is not an easy task that is easy as said, my own take on it is that don’t even get yourself into int and peradventure you find yourself in there. GOD WILL HELP YOU TO FIND YOUR WAY OUT!! WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE so says my bible. A lot of people have tried in the past to get out CULT; few were lucky to make it out, some died in the process it’s only FEW that have the story to tell today. Even the few has one regret or the other. And it is only God that RESTORES completely, He said the YEARS the cankerworms and caterpillar have eaten I (GOD) WILL RESTORE. SO PRAY AND BELIEVE GOD TO SEE YOU OUT OF CULTISM. And for those who are aspiring to get in; in search of fame and power A WORD THEY SAY IS ENOUGH FOR THE WISE don’t get in their. IT’S NOT WHAT YOU THINK.

Hi Chaz, Please be advised that 99.9% of cultists in and out of our schools joined which ever group solely on their decision. The 1% left are either coerced, tricked into another cult instead of their dream cult of Buccaneers or Pirates. Lets forget this " I was oppressed and i was forced to join" or the devil. The devil couldn't have forced you to pay money to buy the form, take severe beatings and torture in various stages of drills to test your endurance level, get initiated in a dramatic atmosphere of tales by moonlight and pirate history books. Its all a hoax. Its about peer pressure chaz. Cultism has come to stay with us and hunt us because Nigeria is built on oppression( give a Nigerian small power and see) but let it be know that its all gangsterism. People want to leave the cult they joined for two reasons 1. When a cult war breaks out and they are scared of being killed.( before the clash, did they want to leave? NO! they went about partying, flying colours and branding girls or trying to oppress Jews. most people fall into this category (2) The ones that truly gets saved ( born again). Some declare born again to get out. Works sometimes but if you had killed and turned born again its up to you and God. The law of Karma hits them sometimes except God really wants to intervene. The devilish and diabolical part people believe is attributed to individuals who now want to be feared

Is cultism bad? yes! a lot has lost their way into deep waters and never came back. Some retraced their steps. Some even still held on to that bond superficially. Can you get out? yes! but lets call a spade a spade please. You will either get killed, beaten, or left lucky. The rule is that if you leave , you will die. Its a law most people don't keep. Its had to kill a brother because he wants out. I listened to people who where wannabes tell stories they never experienced. Those who killed were killed, the ones who were lucky are either still having nightmares and waiting for Karma someday. The fun of cultism is in the absurdity of trying to play out mafian movies and pirates adventures, Living by their creeds. The negativity play on the side of the law. But some over did it, it became business, too voilent and very bad. it was no longer FUN. A lot of us retraced our steps.
