Love is any of a number of emotions related to a sense of strong affection and attachment. The word love can refer to a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes, ranging from generic pleasure to intense interpersonal attraction. This diversity of uses and meanings, combined with the complexity of the feelings involved, makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, even compared to other emotional states.
As an abstract concept, love usually refers to a deep, ineffable feeling of tenderly caring for another person. Even this limited conception of love, however, encompasses a wealth of different feelings, from the passionate desire and intimacy of romantic love to the nonsexual emotional closeness of familial and platonic love to the profound oneness or devotion of religious love.
Interpersonal love refers to love between human beings. It is a more potent sentiment than a simple liking for another. Unrequited love refers to those feelings of love that are not reciprocated. Interpersonal love is most closely associated with interpersonal relationships. Such love might exist between family members, friends, and couples.
And one of the scribes came and heard them arguing, and recognizing that He had answered them well, asked Him, “What commandment is the foremost of all?” Jesus answered, “The foremost is, ‘Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is one Lord; and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ “The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” ( Mark 12:28-31).
We commonly think of neighbors as the people who live near us, but Jesus meant it to include all mankind – even our enemies! Jesus told His famous parable of the Good Samaritan to make it clear that “love your neighbor” means to love all persons, everywhere – not just our friends, allies, countrymen, etc.:

Love is such a beautiful thing to behold. But at times i wonder why the pains are greater than the joy. Love has taught me alot that at times i dont feel like loving again.

Hi Chaz B, this is Silas, it’s a very good thing to show Love, God is Love which is demostrated in Christ Jesus, therefore, as a Christian, who ever shows Love is only revealing the Jesus in him or her, consequently making other give glory to God as the Bible say “Let your light so shine that people see your good work and give glory to your father who is in Heaven”. when showing Love, u must do it with a free mind not because of what u want to gain but because it is the rigth thing to do.
