In Nigeria, “ritual killing” refers to the use of human body parts to summon gods and supernatural powers to intervene in the physical world. While there is a portion of the Nigerian public that believes in ritual killing, which will be described in more detail below, others reject it as baseless “superstition.
Nigerian elites and ritual killing reveals a well-founded belief that political and economic power in Nigeria is often achieved through corrupt and illegitimate means. I think the way we can contain the activities of ritual killers is to have a good security network. So in the state where they operate, security operative must rise to the occasion to mount 24 hours security surveillance. Also, individuals should be security conscious and report any suspicious acts. By so doing, there would be some level of fear for ritual killers or criminals who perpetuate these evil acts.
Places to avoid in Lagos;
Isheri Olowo Ira under bridge,
Toyota Bus Stop along Apapa/Oshodi Expressway,
The link bridge between Abiola Garden with Otedola Estate,
Must we look into evil to enrich our lives?. There are all sorts of inhumane activities happening in our
society which we must all join hands together and tackle the issue.
Its worrisome how people take other people’s life just because of money and power in our society and still we seem not to be concerned or bothered about these happenings.
Phone Logs:
Chris: I pray that the wrath of the Almighty God fall on all these evil doers and their families. Amen. I witnessed a lady that was being forced into the bush my some guys sometimes ago but i was fortunate to intervene and rescue the lady. Why are our people doing this?
Lucas Johnson: This is a pathetic issue. I just pray that these people be brought to book.
Tosin: In a society like ours where people are materialistic, people indulge in all sorts of evil acts all because of money. No one cares about values nomores, everyone wants to live large and oppress themselves. All these attitudes need to stop. Our people should change their perspective towards life and try to make the world a better place.
Tom: Why would the police locations of dangerous places at night without putting force men on patrol in the areas in concern? There is no security in the country, the Nigerian Police Force are not doing anything to check social vices in our community, instead, they encourage them. I therefore use the means to talk to all Nigerians, let us be our brothers keeper and be security conscious.
Chima: This is really a pathetic issue. The NPF has failed in their service to humanity. I saw a man being robbed on the 3rd mainland bridge. I reported to the RRS some few yards away from the robbery scene but to my surprise, they didnt respond to incident. You can just imagine. Lets be frank with ourselves, prayer cant solve this problem in our society, we all have to address this issue together and put things right.
Chioma: There is canibalism in our society, we should be careful what we eat when we go for occasions and events. A very bad thing happened sometimes ago, some butchers were invited by some dignitaries to prepare meats for a particular function, to their surprise they were to butcher 16 young girls and cook them and serve them to guests and these guys were made to swear before gods that if they tell anyone about what they saw, they should die.
They confessed to the police because they couldnt keep the horror to themselves and later died. This and many more horrible things have happened in different parts of the country which we dont even know about. The hearts of our people needs be redefined towards positive thinking.
Michael: These occurences are as a result of greed. Our people should desisit from materialistic lifestyles and add values to themselves and also to the society. The police should do their jobs effectively as well.
Chidi: We glorify money in our society and our people go extra miles to get it thereby endangering other people’s lives. Police are involved in all these attrocities. Nigeria is in a serious mess, and until we change our attidudes and ways of life,, am afraid..
Bose: Our people dont value life, that is why people kill other people for money and power. Frankly speaking, am opportuned to be working with police in the line of my work and the truth of the matter is that the NPF are well funded. Imagine, Police dont earn more than 15,000 Naira as basic salary. So tell me, how do you expect them to protect others when they cant afford a decent lifestyle. The government should properly fund the Police Force and also empower them in order to effectively function.
B0la: I have had an experience with these ritualist and if not just the grace of God, i would be dead by now.
****: There are individuals who use some vital organs of their body for money rituals*****
Kola: People shouldnt just complain about these bad happenings in the society,, people should act against it.
Josie: There are 3p’s affecting our society. (1) The politicians: Nigeria is suffering from political instability. (2) Police: There is no security in the country and the police force aint helping matters at all. No one cares about how people make their money. (3) Pastors and people that has the power to teach others should influence others towards a better life.

It is only God that will help us in this country coz government has failed us even the pple in the highest authority also failed. All this is because of money that some day they will leave here. These people should remember that anybody that kill by sword shall also die by sword. My advice to you out there, is to be conscious of yourself.

it’s crazy…some of us see people getting into one trouble or the other,or even robbery on the 3rd mainland bridge and ard that alapere-ogudu bridge and don’t do nothing!!even pressing ur horn endlessly will help.
i have been robbed ard these places 3 times, the last time was like 2 weeks again,i was robbed with a PLASTIC gun!!i knew that cos i grabbed the gun after the rat collected my wife’s phone and demanded for mine too and was pointing the gun on my face,i wanted to direct the gun away from my face and felt it,then the traffic moved and nobody even stopped to help,i wanted to chase them but was advised not to,i was amazed when i saw policemen almost 50 yards away,i told them and they acted like they were deaf n dumb!!!
i still see those guys almost every night and have seen them rob people ,i have promised myself that going forward if they mistakenly cross my path after robbing i will knock them down!
people should stop using there phones, laptops etc once they are ard these places
there is no SECURITY atall, those MIB(men in black) are out there to make money not protect the citizens.
those areas u mentioned above like the bridge from Otedola, their formal hideout (thick bush)ard there has been cleared and i think some mopols are always there at night .
let’s be our brother’s keeper.

It is disheartening how ritual killings have become the order of the day in our society. we need God’s intervention, a man will slaughter his fellow human being without thinking twice. where is this generation heading to? God is our protector, but we need to be our brothers’ keepers, let us give love a chance in our midst. I believe that if you love your neighbour you will not kill him in cold blood. May God help us all!!!

Hey Chaz, on the last Topic of Infidelity by women in marriages, I think it goes both ways but let it be known that fidelity is a personality trait, if you don’t have it time will tell.
We have to learn to choose wisely and act nicely!
There are women whose husbands are he -devils and they remained faithful till either the man changes, dies or gets a divorce (if you can’t deal with it or your life is at risk = HIV). The Lord is your strenght but men can be stubid you know.
Fidelity is a personal decison to be dependable and faithtful to your partner in marriage no matter the situation( for better for worse, your husband’s misbehavior is not an excuse. So continue to be faithful with caution and pray for him, am very sure he will turn around with time. Don’t try to get even by grabbing booty girl! it never turns out well. Two wrongs has never made a right!
I want to prescribe a movie : “Fireproof” Its a must watch for every couple. Trust me. It really takes 100% from each partner to hold a home not the shared 50-50. You need to hold forthfor the ailing partner , if you can’t. Please walk away.

I agree with Dum that infidelity is a personality trait. But I want to emphasize something here which is individual level perseverance differs a lot. What a woman can endure or tolerate for 35yrs cannot be endured by another woman for 7 days. So it is wrong to use that yardstick for decision making in this circumstance, would rather advise men to avoid anything that would make their wives cheat on them and also women should always “look before they leap” most of these traits are always there and seen before marriage most likely during courtship or whatever but we tend to deceive ourselves with the slogan “he loves me and i love him so i can change him”. It doesn’t work because in a ten men may be 1 or 2 worked so either we like it or not that traits comes back calling one day. Then that is I’ll call REALITY or if i may paraphrase it ‘eye opener’. It is only God that perfects a man and no mortal can do that. So dear ladies, what you won’t tolerate in marriage don’t overlook it in relationship or courtship as it may.
Chaz B, the great Marshal of the house, we appreciate you a lot and may God bless you.

I totally agree with Dum and Onyx on the issue of infidelity by women in marriage. This is where family values come to play. We need to pray for our daughters and sisters to be Godly women that they are created to be. we also need to pray for the spirit of contentment in them so that they will take what comes their way as all they need.
